(Wildcards welcome. Hit me up on plurk or just throw up something. We're going wibbly wobbly everything works out and everyone can visit everyone and their tethers are fine and dandy lala land. Persephone regularly visits friends and goes exploring in strange new worlds. She lives in another world and rarely visits home because Demeter likes to give her a hard time for not staying there. Morals relaxed slightly but still tempted to go on a big damn hero moment, which is probably what lead to green hands time. She's also more likely to go petal/leafy because no one here knows that that is something weird and undesirable at home. Probably got some therapy. God we hope she got some therapy. Even if it's by commute.)
Home Base
Her garden spills out around her. Vines climb in brilliant flourishes up trellises and with sharper thorns along the vast stone walls. Vegetables and herbs are only nominally contained in beds that spill over rock walls in cascades of green. Much of this vast space is dedicated to plant life, big and small, familiar and foreign, but it hides as much fauna as flora Bees build hives in the hollows of trees and fallen logs. Butterflies and beetles, crickets and spiders, not to mention the birds and beasts. As she walks briskly along paths marked in green stripes of grass, flowers blossom with every step, a pink and white trail to follow. Raising a hand up to a tree, she pulls free a pomegranate as she passes, tucking it in her basket.
Persephone looks much the same as she did that first day on the train. She is a brilliant fuchsia pink, for the most part, eternally young, with a penchant for flowers in her hair and a white dress. But ten years changes everyone, even the gods, and marks of that time remain on her. Her hands, as she shakes out a blanket and smooths it out over a rare patch of open grass, are as green as the life around her. Her ears sparkle with diamonds, simple ones for a simple day perhaps, but still matching a teardrop necklace.
Splitting open the pomegranate with a small knife, she pops a few arils in her mouth and opens her book. Ten minutes in, a sensation in the grass and life around her makes her pop her head up and peer in the direction of the main building. Well it's properly a castle. When she's feeling fancy, she calls it a palace and when she's being snarky, it's a stone pile. Either way, it's where most beings are coming from. It's certainly where void travelers are coming from.
"Sneaking up on me is not that easy, you know."

Orchids Eleven??? IDK
Plant theft was a youthful desire, a childish folly. Now, at 30, Persephone has moved onto plant heists, with her willing or unwilling compatriots. Layers of diaphanous green material make for excellent hiding places, and as she walks quickly out of the room, it's clear that she has some sort of orchid tucked beneath her arm.
"Come on, come on." She hooks them with her free arm, smiling in a very practiced sort of way, "They're definitely going to notice and we have maybe ten minutes." She glances at her SCA, "Do you think it'll ruin this beauty if we evacuate? That's probably for emergencies, huh?"

Guest Relations
The nature of moving between worlds means that you rarely get to ask in advance if it's a good time to come. Persephone has arrived at worlds only to find her friends gone on visits out of town or, you know, with plans of their own. She rarely takes it personally, but she does miss being able to call ahead.
In lieu of a better method, Persephone always comes armed with gifts. Baskets of favored fruits, pastries, honey and mead, bread. Always lots of bread for the Underworld, even if their world is reviving. But wherever she ends up, she holds the basket in front of her as she makes her way along familiar paths, to see familiar faces. Everyone knows that being a good guest is just as important as being a good host.

Date: 2022-06-15 05:41 am (UTC)From:[ He's not entirely sure how all this got arranged, but the Hades from both their worlds had agreed upon an exchange of Death. For a time. Something about one learning a better work ethic and one bringing back new idea on how to manage the role better. Given everything that had happened, Thanatos isn't entirely sure which Thanatos each applied to. Or if it was both.
Thanatos was given a small studio apartment, which was sparsely furnished and decorated. He was given a work allowance to make whatever purchases he needed. A few days in Persephone's Underworld, and he still hadn't touched it. Thanatos still showed up to "work" in his dark attire from home, even when in headquarters. The apartment remained as blank as ever. ]
Do I really need to buy things? This isn't a permanent stay. I don't need to eat or sleep either.

She drops all the gifts of the mortal realm on his counters (honey, mead, bread and a whole bag of honey donuts that she helped Daphne make as a 'No hard feelings about replacing my boyfriend for a while' gift.)]
Well you're eating these. And Hades is being a good host. Refusing his hospitality by not making yourself comfortable is rude.
[She turns in a slow circle as she takes in the main room. Then she walks to the window and throws open the thin curtains to show off the dark skyline] What are you even doing with yourself after work? [Pause] Please tell me you're not just working all the time...

[ Mort, who was busy being sprawled on the bed and possibly being the main inhabitant of said bed, quickly hopped to the counter and started sniffing at the snacks. This makes Thanatos float over to take a piece of bread and drizzle some honey over it. (He learned that more can go on bread! Character development!) The end to eternal winter and famine has encouraged Thanatos to partake in eating without as much apprehension. ]
When I'm not taking souls from the surf--mortal world, I am studying the filing system of the Underworld. I wonder if there's a way to reduce the amount of parchment--paperwork by adapting King Hades's system.
[ So yes, he's doing work. He also hasn't broken the need to give a title to Hades. ]

They have working hours. And--we should probably get you something more modern to wear. They only wear these sort of clothes in the mortal realm. [Perse snags a slice of bread] Not that you don't look nice but you certainly stand out.

[ Not since security yelled at him. And he has to do something to pass the time. But he sighs, knowing that Persephone would know better about how things are in this world. Thanatos is just doing his best with his utter lack of experience. ]
There's no train shop here, so I don't understand how I'm supposed to get anything else.

[She takes a bite of bread and gestures towards him with the slice]
I started out in Olympus without much modern clothing and it's isolating, not really fitting in. Most beings have the things for both modern and mortal clothing but you only really wear mortal things here when you're about to leave for that realm. I just--I know I don't like to stand out for the wrong reasons, I figure you might want to blend in a little more while you're here? Shopping won't be too hard. And we can get something for Mort, more groceries, things like that.
I'll introduce you to the trials and tribulations of Capitalism. Sponsored by Hades. Facilitated by Persephone. Overseen by Mort and Prosera.

[ Thanatos shakes his head, but he's clearly defeated on the matter. ]
My brother and Hermes are likely laughing at me despite the distance.
[ Because somehow they'd know. ]
